Sierra Leone

In 2022 I visited Sierra Leone, to meet my nation (Themne) for the first time since the slave trade in 1619. Freetown was founded by formerly enslaved people. The countryside is beautiful as well as the beaches. You will notice that mangos are EVERYWHERE!!! Little kids climb trees in the morning to collect mangos for their families to sell at the markets. I miss Sierra Leone especially the abundance of mangos and palm wines. I've finally found a scent that reminds me of Mama Leone <3. Mango pulp and dark blood orange are spiked with spicy paprika and bold red pepper on top of earthy teakwood.
