Petal Wax Candles
So many reasons why I make candles. My mother burned candles all the time!!! It didn't matter the season; it was always vanilla cinnamon or apple cinnamon.
I would buy them from the store; an immediate let down, they were either aesthetically pleasing, yet the scent was toxic, resulting in a headache. When lit, the wax looked like lava of plastic. At my job, our chandler left because her husband is military and has new orders. I decided to make my own, the way I wanted, and incorporate eco-friendly practices in my business and in life (the best way I can). Also, share my love of nature, beauty, and philanthropy.
We sell glass and concrete candles. Every concrete vessel is unique, with it's organic appeal. Candles are made in small batches and hand-poured/crafted, ensuring you get the best quality. 5 % of profits go to "Pantry on Wheels" (see on Facebook), we feeds the homeless.
Our wood wicks will have a subtle crackle and are sourced from FSC-certified mills and made in the USA. All concrete vessels are sealed. We use non-toxic water-based sealers with no VOCs (no volatile organic compounds), from a reputable, family-owned company that understands our health, our animal's health, and plant life.
We are Black and Woman-Owned in Adkins, Texas. Thank you so much for your support. God Bless

Repurpose your concrete or glass vessel.
The fun doesn't stop!! Your concrete or glass vessel can be repurposed !!
Once your candle is finished (when a half inch of wax remains), carefully remove the wax and wick stem using a spoon. Instead of throwing away the wax, place it in your wax melter. Once I find the right a supplier , I'll sell them here :^).
Carefully wipe out the wax residue with a cloth, wash it, and let it dry. One can use the vessel as a phone holder, make-up brush holder, change jar, or a pot for plants.
***In the photo, I use my vessel to hold my coffee grounds, saving it for plants or ant hills :)
Concrete/glass vessels are not food-safe, so no honey in these jars. ALL concrete vessels are sealed! We use non-toxic water-based sealers with no VOCs (no volatile organic compounds), from a reputable family-owned company that understands our health, our animal's health, and plant life.

Candle care
Hold your lighter/match to the wood wick for 10-20 seconds to light. ****Your first burn is the most important!! As your candle burns, allow the wax to reach a full "melt pool" before extinguishing , this will take 1 to 2 hours to achieve, make sure you're in for the night . Melt pool refers to the point where the melted wax from a burning candle reaches the edge of its container. This will prevent tunneling from occurring (picture below ).
****Don’t exceed 3 or more hours of burning to avoid an enlarged flame and a hot vessel.
****Keep the wick length 1/4 inch before each use. Charred wood won’t light. Before you relight your candle, remove the charred wood with your finger using a napkin. If you're using a wick trimmer (sophisticated) , becareful not to over cut your wick. Cut the every top of the wick, the charred wood will easily come off. All tips will prevent a enlarged flame. *****Place the candle away from window curtains, drafts, children, pets, and flammables. Place the candle on an even surface. Avoid moving your candle while it is lit. To prevent wax from spilling and burning your hand. *Store the candle in a cool place to avoid color/scent fading. ****NEVER leave your candle unattended***

Tunneling
The picture is an example of "Tunneling ". Tunneling is a condition where the candle's center hollows out. Wax has a memory and once a burning pattern has been established it can be hard to change it. To prevent Tunneling ***How to fix Tunneling**** If your candle looks like this picture, no worries. Your goal is to make the candle wax leveled/flat.
*Use a hair dryer .
Set the dryer setting on the lowest level to prevent wax from spilling out of the vessel. Patiently swirl the hair dryer around to melt the wax until the the surface is even.
**Another method, use a spoon to remove the wax along the candle wall. You can use the excess wax in your wax warmer or throw it away.
